Mohamed Jassat - from selling shoes to becoming a Salesforce Director

Season #1 Episode #23

Why do some people stay in a toxic relationship too long?
Why do others carry on making a living in a career that they hate just because they spent years and shedloads of money at university?

Sunk costs, that’s what.

It takes maturity and a lot of self awareness to look at that, and realise that a change is necessary, regardless of the sunk costs.

In this week’s podcast, I have a deep conversation with Mohamed Jassat (FF.ISP), Senior Director at Cognizant about his journey in the #Salesforce ecosystem from a business customer to a consultant.

He was part of a huge initiative – moving platform from Siebel to Salesforce, and shared some fascinating insights as to how to successfully maneuver this change, ensuring the people, processes and technology is aligned.

I remember this baking disaster some time ago, and tearfully munching the sad results because “I had put in the effort and it would be a waste!”

Now Me would have gone back to time and smacked some sense into Past Me! What was the point of stuffing those junk calories that didn’t even taste good?!
